Ask Lila - March 21, 2005

1)  From Julie C:  I was just wondering what is your all time favorite song?

A: I love the Way you Love Me (John Michael Mongomery)

2)  From John W:  I am actually curious as to if you had someone in mind
when you created the song "With You."  It is a very beautiful song, and my
favorite one that you have sang.

A: When I recorded the song "With You" I really just loved the song. I was in high school, so I am sure I probably had a crush at the time which made me olike the song even more :)

3)  From Sarah:  I heard that you were doing a lot of songwriting.  Is there
any new song that you've written that you favor?

A: One of my favorite songs I have written is called "Invisible". It's not on my new record, but I almost always play it live.

4)  From Kylie:  Just wondering if you will tour Australia and if you have
ever been down under before and did you enjoy your time here?

A: I have not yet had the opportunity ro go down under yet, but I would LOVE to and hope I get the opportunity soon!

5)  From Allen:  What's it like to be famous, and what does it take to
become a singer of your caliber?

A: Being famous is very interesting. It's great because I get to perform and do what i love for a living, but it's difficult because it's very hard to have a private life outside of the buisness.  To be successfull in anything, I think you have to work really hard, but still try and enjoy youself.

6)  From Emily:  Love your voice and the music on your "Lila" CD.  "Saddle
My Dreams" is my favorite.  I noticed you wrote or co-wrote some of the
songs on the CD and I was wondering, what inspires you as a song writer?

A: In general, the most inspiring thing for me with songwriting is life. Everything around me I find interesting and inspiring. People watching is one of my favorite things.

7)  From Amie:  What is the biggest difference between living in Nashville
and living in LA?

A: WEATHER! Of course... and here I am right in the middle of the country music scene, which I love.

8)  From Connie:  Will the song that is on your dvo, "Back to Me" be on your
new CD?  I have tried to down load it but have been unsuccessful, I'm
anxious to hear the whole song.  The small clip I've heard made me cry.

A: "Back to Me" will unfortunately not be on my new record. I am sorry you have had trouble downloading it.  :)

9)  From Jason:  What do you do if anything special to keep your voice in
top shape?

A: I try and always warm up before I sing. That's about all I do.  :)

10)  From Jessica  I am interested in having someone sing some of your songs
at my wedding.  Where can I find instrumental music and/or sheet music to
your songs?

A: The best place to look for music I would say is at a Music store that carris sheet music, or online... you can find anything there.
