Ask Lila - February 21, 2004

1. I was just wondering if she is going to be headlining a tour anytime soon, or going to be part of anyone else's tour? Would be great if you could make it back to Des Moines, IA !!!

A: As for right now I don't have any tour plans yet this year, but I am sure that may change in the next couple months. Can wait to get back to Des Moines!

2. What has lila been doing sence she took time off? When can we expect to hear new music?

A: In my time off I have been writing alot and I have just started working on a new record that I am really exited about. :)

3. Do u plan to come to Ontario anytime soon?And maybe ship some cds over here,they don't sell any here! We can't get them.

A: I don't have any plans to go to Ontario right now , but that is a trip I would love to take. I have never beeen up there before to tour, it's way over due! :)

4. I just wanted to say that I saw you in concert and the state fair in Raleigh NC in Oct of 2001 and just wanted to say that it was one the best I've have ever seen!! I saw you walking around the fair and said hi to you!! and you said hello. How did you like the crowd in NC?? And what's the biggest crowd you've ever been in front of?

A: I always have a great time in NC, the crowds are great. The biggest crowd I have played to though was in Colombus, OH with the George Striat tour. There were 82,000 pepole at that show. It was crazy!

5. Will you have any tour dates for this year in Kennwick, or Richland, or Pasco, Washington?

A: I am not sure. We don't have tour dates sceduled yet, so you never can tell, but I love getting back near home.

6. Do you plan to continue pursuing an acting career? I remember reading that you moved to Los Angeles to try acting, but nothing came your way and you decided to move to Nashville.

A: Moving to LA, wasn't really for acting. but I did a few things while living there. I really think acting is fun, but my first priority is definitley music.

7. I went to the concert at the collage and I was wondering if you could send me the lyrics of "Invisible" that song touched my heart because thats how I feel all the time and it would really me the world to me.

A: Hopefully INVISIBLE will be on my new record, but if not, I am sure we can try and work something out. :)

8. How's Shugar doing? Any new hair styles for the poochie?

A: Shugar is doing great. She's the big boss dog now I got another dog about a year and a half ago, so she loves to push him around. Even though he is a hound dog!

9. How are you enjoying living in Nashville? What are some of your favorite things to do when you're not in the studio working on your music?

A: I love Nashville, especially in the summer time, the weather is great. I really enjoy Bass fishing and hanging out with friends.

10. Since you have left Los Angeles and gone back to Nashville, I have a question for you. When you lived in Los Angeles, did you "tour" the city and see the sights? If so, what did you see? (I ask this because I was born and lived in Vista, 2 hours south of L.A.).

A: When I lived in LA, I never really did tour the sights, I was always on the road travelling, so when I did get to be home I was quite the home body.

11. Since you've been focusing on your songwriting the last couple years, have any of the songs you've written been recorded by other artists? Would you like to have other artists record your songs?

A: I have really enjoyed song writing, right now no other artists have recorded songs I have written, but I think would be awesome!

12. Hey Yankee Chick what size hat do you wear?

A: I guess a medium, but I have to be truthful and say I am a little more of a Mariners fan. :) But the Yanks are pretty darn awesome as well!

13. I noticed in one photo that you play guitar now. Is that new or always done? Thats shows even more talent, I'm been learning alot lately and its not easy.

A: I have actually played guitar since I was about 8 years old, I just don't play live very often, it's alot of fun though.

14. Have you ever flown on Southwest airlines sometime last summer? I work for southwest here in CA and a friend of mine said they thought they saw you flying, but not sure, just thought I would ask, so I could confirm that to my friend.

A: Honestly, I fly so often I couldn't even tell you, but It's very possible they saw me. :)

15. I was wondering when you will have a new cd coming out? A: Hopefully I will have a new CD out by the end of the year!

16. I am 19 years old and have been a fan of yours since I first saw your Down Came A BackBird video. Was it very hard for you to shoot the video for that song? Do you have a boyfriend now that you are out of school and touring?

A: The video shoot for BLACKBIRD was probably one of the easiest. Now that I am out of school, I have been dating bit more. :)

17. Did you have fun working on the set of Walker Texas Ranger and work with the charactor's?

A: I had an awesome time shotting Texas Ranger. Chuck Norris and the rest of the cast were just really nice people. They made my acting debut really fun for me.

18. When can we hear your great voice and music on the radio?

A: I should have a new song coming out on the radio at the end of May or close to it.

19. Do you have a band? I am a drummer in Nashville looking to play.

A: I don't have a band right now, I am sure I will be putting together a new one before my next tour.

21. I heard or read somewhere a while back you saying you had an active dating life right now. I was wondering who are you dating now? And do you you prefer older or younger men?

A: Lets just say, I am doing a little dating, I am having fun, but nothing too serious has come along.

22. I am so excited you are coming out with a new single in the Spring! You are one of my favorite singers, and I was hoping you would have an album coming out soon :) Anyways, my question is if you were not going to be singing for your career what would you like to do as far as career wise? Another quick question, is the fan club up and active, I used to be in it, but I haven't gotten anything in a long time and I think by now my membership expired.

A: The fan club is definitley up and running. If I wasn't doing music I would probably be in some kind on criminal investigation unit, Kinda like CSI. I know, I know.... talk about way different then the music buisiness. :)
